I had been around the Social bookmarking sites -did Facebook, twittered on Twitter till I was blue in the face, worked on my links to 2 -or even 3 page rank sites and nothing happened.

Eventually I got frustrated because I didn't really know who I was linking to, what their page rank was and whether those links were helping me at all. I knew I was not linking to very valuable sites and my ranking reflected this on google.
